Filaments for Polysilicon Manufacturing
Deliver High Quality Ingots for Filament Production
Compared to other methods of filament growth, such as Polysilicon Reactor growing or Float Zone (Slim Rod) pulling, the CZ crystal growth method provides benefits that result in a competitive advantage, specific to producers of solar-grade polysilicon:
Increase Filament Production
Following the filament-cutting process, each charge yields approximately 280 filament rods (depending on length and diameter of ingots specified).
With a cycle time of 48 hours, this equates to a possible 48,000 (approximate) filament rods per grower per year.
Increase Polysilicon Throughput
Using CZ crystal growers for filament production eliminates the need to use polysilicon reactors for this process or to develop specialized deposition processes.
Reduce Filament Production Cost
Shorter cycle times and lower overall process costs minimize total cost per filament rod.
